Citrusdal local support

Citrusdal has a new Farmers market. This one has real farmers. Held every last Saturday of the month, 27th Feb is the next one. It starts at 8:30 in the morning and finishes at midday. Theresa Burton who runs the Sandveldhuisie Country Shop is the organiser. You can contact her on 079 078 9569. Theresa is also the custodian of the Citrusdal Museum and you can collect the key from her to take your guests for an exclusive stroll through this surprising collection of historical pieces. The entrance fee is voluntary and you drop it in the collection box on your way out.
During the week the Sandveldhuisie is open for refreshments and light meals and stocks a substantial selection of local produce.
This is a very rewarding stop if you are anywhere near the vicinity or passing through. The Sandveldhuisie is next to the Museum and the Museum is signposted in the Citrusdal main street on the right hand side in the direction of Clanwilliam.
