Damelin College Mowbray has asked us to provide a group of 12 of their tourism students with an educational on Off Road Guiding.
We have planned to give the students a presentation on NOW at their campus from 09;00 - 10;00 from where we proceed to the Atlantis Dunes to give them an overvue on the training, equipment, preparation and planning that a guide has to do in order to be able to take visitors on tour. We would then like to take them into the dunes for the experience.
If you are prepared to assist on the 22nd April please would you either call Chris McD on 0825667439 or send an e mail with the subject "4WDGA guiding educational 22nd April" at tecbasic@mweb.co.za

We need assistance with the following please;
1/ A driver to transport the students from the Mowbray campus to the Atlantis dunes. Vehicle pickup in Durbanville to get to Mowbray before 9am. Program end at 14;30 and students dropped at Mowbray Campus at 15;30 vehicle returned to Durbanville.
2/ 2 Vehicles with drivers, kitted to lead a convoy - from 11;00 at the Atlantis Dunes 1st parking, for demonstration of equipment needed and discussions.
3/ Vehicles and drivers to take the students into the dunes, from 11;30 to 14;30.
4/ Co sponsors for a drink and a light snack in the dunes for all the participants - Approx 16 people.
5/ Photographer and scribe to compile an article for press release.

This exercise is in line with our responsbilities to NOW and with growing the 4WDG Association. It is envisaged to run regular educationals with stakeholders that have influence on our sector of tourism. Please become active in this initiative and put forward any proposals that you have for creating positive exposure and image building of our Association.

Chris McD.
